All members of the Scout Association aged between 18 and 25 are members of the Scout Network. You don’t have to be part of a local Network - the choice is yours. As part of the Scout Network you could be:

Ÿ          A member of a local unit

Ÿ          A leader with another Section

Ÿ          A helper or Skills Instructor

Ÿ          A member of the Scout fellowship

Ÿ          A member in any other capacity

The Scout Network is quite different to all four other sections. There are no leaders within local Networks, which are run by the members for the members.

It is the responsibility of the county to make sure that the Network is managed effectively. But it is up to the members to create local Networks with exciting programmes that others want to join. Your membership of the Scout Network is individual, but it is still important to take part in activities with other members.
