Dear Parents and Cubs
Attached is the proposed programme for the term. As usual it will not be totally fixed
but we will try to keep you informed of the changes as they arise. Also attached are
copies of the work required in relation to the activity badges that we hope to complete.
You will note that some of the work needs to be completed at home.
Ben Stockley won the Cub Logo competition (chosen by the boys!) and you will of course have noted this at the top of this letter.
We are pleased to welcome Nicholas Ansell and Joshua Stevens to the pack. We will be
working with them towards their investment in the near future.
Duncan Field, Ben Chase, Ben and Jon Stockley and Tristan Turner have all now moved up to Scouts and we wish them well.
It's that time of year again I'm afraid, subs remain at £10 and annual Capitation is
£22.50, please can we have AS SOON AS POSSIBLE – Especially as:
Fareham Leisure Centre Sports Evening is coming up on 8th Feburary. This is a fun
packed evening with the boys having the opportunity to enjoy Swimming, Circuit training and Roller skating. Any Boy Wishing to attend the Leisure Centre Must Return their form (attached to this letter) AND have paid their subs and capitation by Friday 31st January 2003.
Yet again we find ourselves appealing for Parent helpers. Some of you it would seem are
not aware that we, the leaders, do have other commitments that mean that we cannot
both always be present on Fridays nights. The other Friday I found myself alone, looking
after 19 Boys. I'm sure YOU CAN Imagine how Dangerous this could be. We are
therefore putting a roster on the notice board in the scout hall entrance way and
expect every parent sign up to help at least once a term. In future if we do not have at
least two adults present on any one night WE WILL NOT RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
